BlessingsThanksgiving is fast approaching. Have you counted your blessings? But more than that, have you thanked God for your blessings?

Neither is an easy task since God has filled our lives to overflowing with gifts beyond number. But the Apostle Paul in writing to the Corinthians can help us get started.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

~ 1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV

Thank you, Lord, for giving us your victory over the grave. A victory that swallowed up death and its sting through Your sacrificial death on the cross. A victory that opens the door to eternal life for us.

Thanks be to God!

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

~ 2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV

Thank you, Lord, that your victory on the cross was not only victory over death but victory over life. That Your indwelling Holy Spirit enables us to triumph over life’s circumstances even now. That Christ’s victory becomes our victory so that we might show forth praise to You in all things.

Thanks be to God!

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift.

~ 2 Corinthians 9:15 NIV

Thank you, Lord for all your gifts but most of all for Your greatest gift—Jesus Christ our Savior. We do not deserve such an indescribable gift. We can only bow in humble acceptance of Your love and offer our lives to You.

Thanks be to God!

Thank you, Lord, for your blessings this past year. For food, clothing, shelter, families and friends. For Your presence with us in the good times and the bad. Your guidance when the road was rough and the way unclear. Your strength when we were weak. Your courage and peace when we were afraid.

And may we see YOU more clearly this Thanksgiving and give You praise for all of Your unspeakable gifts.

Thanks be to God!

HAVE A BLESSED THANKSGIVING!
