ABOUT THE DOGS

Whoever said “to love me is to love my dog” got it right as far as I’m concerned. ISSR Shiloh Shepherds are my personal breed of choice because they resemble old-fashioned German Shepherds from decades ago. They’re big dogs with big hearts. My first Shiloh, Baer, tipped the scales at 130 lbs. Number two, Glocken, weighed in at 120 lbs. And “little” Jazz was fit and trim at about 100 lbs. Gabriel is now six years old and weighs 125 lbs.

Here are a few favorite photos of my dogs…

Buster

I like to feature a canine character in my stories, too. This is a photo of Buster, a friend’s Boston Terrier that inspired a character by the same name in The Road to Mercy.

Ophelia

In Deadly Commitment, a Newfoundland named Sophie has a supporting role, and in Deadly Connection you’ll meet Ophelia.

Up next? In Deadly Conclusion, the third book in The Deadly Secrets, you’ll meet some very special canine stars.

What’s your favorite breed?
