I knew very little about human trafficking when I first started writing Deadly Connection. I knew that it was more prevalent than most people think, but I didn’t know that human trafficking was “the second-fastest growing criminal industry, just behind drug trafficking,” in the State of Tennessee. And it’s not just in Tennessee, human trafficking happens in all fifty states and is on the rise.
