Detour Button On KeyboardDivineDetour.com is approaching its fifth year of sharing others’ detours, so I think it’s about time I share a little secret. It’s something I’ve known for quite a while, but it seems appropriate to talk about right now . . . right after the beginning of a new year and as the Divine Detour web team is working to redesign the site.

Divine Detour has been a detour for me.

This site began as a way to host a pubic forum for the writing side of my life, but it has become so much more. It has grown from that first post in May 2010 to an incredible opportunity each week to meet and interact with other writers, entertainers, and Christian professionals from many walks of life. All who have shared so generously of their time, their faith, and their testimonies. Thanks to each of you, this site has been very much a divine detour for me . . . a passion, a lifestyle change, and an amazing blessing.

Special thanks, too, to Linda Veath. She has blessed DivineDetour.com with her bi-weekly devotions, which have inspired me, as I hope they have inspired you. Linda is not only a multi-published devotion author, she has been an (almost) life-long friend.

Thank you, also, to everyone who reads, subscribes, and shares the link for features. And to each of the publicists who has been instrumental in setting interviews.

Now . . . for another detour.

Because it takes a significant number of man-hours each week to produce bi-weekly features, and because I want to spend more time writing, Divine Detour will begin a new schedule. At least temporarily, features will be published only once a week. I hope this will allow you even more time to spend reading each interview and learning about his or her most recent book(s) and/or music project(s).

I’m happy to announce that I recently signed with Julie Gwinn of The Seymour Agency to represent my writing, and I look forward to sharing more about my fiction projects with you on my soon-to-be-redesigned author site.

Blessings to each of you as we continue to celebrate the Divine Detours in life!
