Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication … let your requests be made known to God. ~ Philippians 4:6 NIV

.

We are living in an age of uncertainty, and as the battle with this pandemic continues, we are not exactly sure how to deal with it. Even the simple things can be hard. To shake or not to shake hands. To hug or not to hug. To wear a mask or not to wear a mask. To follow distancing rules or not. One day it’s one way, and the next day it’s different. What are we supposed to do?

Thankfully, God knows. He wants us to simply let go of our fears and trust in Him.

God always takes care of His people. He is the foundation when the world is in turmoil. We need not fear this pandemic—or any other thing—if we rest peacefully in His arms, which gives us the strength to show His love to all.

If ever there was a time to pray, it is now! For ourselves. For those we know and those we don’t know. For those who are alone and afraid of the world as it is. In a situation like this, we can either pray or we can worry. May we all choose to “PRAY BIG and worry little.”

Thank God for the good things, for the many blessings in our lives. Let us count them one by one. Let us rejoice in them. And know that, even when everything around us is down, God still loves us. He will not let us go.

Second Timothy said it best in Chapter 1:7 — For God has not given as a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

The power that banishes fear is a sound mind. We maintain a sound mind by bringing every thought into captivity. And through it all, we PRAY BIG and worry little.

Amen.
