I received an unexpected phone call last week from a family octogenarian. We hadn’t talked in quite a while, and in discussing a few of the changes I’d made in my life recently, he offered some of the best encouragement I’ve heard in a while.
He said, simply, “Decisions… you just have to keep making them in life.”
There’s no way around it… Life is full of decisions. And some are difficult. But when we live by a certain set of standards, each decision is easier.

Kathy, how I do hear you and so agree. One of the stresses, and I think an evil snare, for me is when I get trapped thinking that theses daily decisions only happen to me. Your honesty shows it doesn’t and I applaud you for that. This thing called life (or what Americans joke about as ‘living the dream’) is so hard and full of one test too many. But living second by second with Him are the only brave pills I take. I don’t have a lot to fall back from my past except strong morals, which I am grateful for as well. Thanks for sharing these thoughts.
